I started a new sketchbook when I moved to Northern California two years ago, to live between the Bay Area and the Sierra Nevada. Through the process, I began photographing every caravan I came across, most often used as housing amid the region's housing crisis, others just crossing national parks. Those photos slowly turned into drawings, and that's how this collection came to be.
Most of the drawings were made in spring, when geese are born from parents migrating in from Canada. So sixteen «ducks» show up throughout the pages too.
